Hi guys , the site which ive opened that is www.coremaniacs.com is doing good. The forum right now has more than 200 members and 1000+ posts, people r really liking it and queries r being generated on the forum and also being answered nicely. I am trying to get some good articles and will start flooding in the articles once i am done with my final 8th Sem exams. I have worked really hard on it but what matters is that now it has started paing dividence . The site has more than 1lakh 30 thousand hits in its 2 months of operation. I hope the site does well and completes my dream of serving the community.

Hi Guys,
I ahd my gdpi at kj somaiya for their Int. Business course.It was at 1:30 at Somaiya Mumbai.
Again first there was a presentation session by some faculty and then a mall question answer session. Then there was a written Communication test. We had to write on one of the two topics. The topics were:
1> How should the FDI be used and how to use the unearthed money.
2> How to increase the FDI to 100 bn$
I wrote on the first topic.About three hundred words and 15 min.
Now the GD time out of 12 people only 8 turned up. They first gave us a case study and then took it back and gave another one .
Good healthy discussion the topic was about the recently in news case of 17 yr old boy that he stood 1st in some compet. by NASA and that he was awarded 500000 Rs. by the gov. Later on it was known that it was a hoax . So discuss about the media and the govs role in this.
It was fine moving around few points in the whole GD.
I was last in the PI . 2 members one 1ady who was also there in my PGDBA interview and one male mostlyy frm industry , very sharp knew everything.

In the whole interview the Male panel didnt even sit once.
This was he whole process.

Well what should I say, I am extremly dejected . NIRMA declared their final call list and I was unable to find a spot in the final list. But ofcourse this is not the end of the world NITIE is still remaining and would be declaring its result in few days. Then I have KJ Somaiya also . So I shouldnt be that much dejected. Life plays some games with u but u have to accept it.

HI,
I had my GDPI of KJ Somaiya today .
Ireached there at 9 in the morning. The campus is huge but sure it needs some renowation. The campus is wifi and the new campus building is comming soon.
They marked our attendence and then a faculty member gave a presentation on the college. The presentation was OK.
Then a small question answer session ans then it was followed by a written Communication Test. 2 topics were given and we had to select and write 2 pages on it in 15 min. The topics were
1>Jobs should be made mandatory or it should be left to the Market.
2> Use of Internet in Rural India.
I wrote on the 1st topic and then after that we were taken to the GD room. 2 male panelists who were very good in conduct explained us the whole process.
The GD was a case study . We had to save 1 person out of six in a cruise wreck. The six people were
1> A nun(30yrs)
2> A handicaped soldier who fought 2 fights for his nation(55yrs)
3> A mother and his 12 yr old son(She also has 2 sons at home)
5> A drug addict who just left drugs and wanted to see life(28yrs)
6> A Scientist on a verge of an inovation in medicine which had a 50-50 chance of working(45yrs)
I was the one who gave the introduction . I spoke for 40sec uninterupted . Came in frequently . The grp was gr8 no fish market at all. 9/15 people came. The GD was good . The everybody got 30 sec for summarising. The panel was also happy and complimented us.
Then we were sent to Seminar Hall and verification of our Profile form was done. I was third gfor the PI.

When I went in 2 female were the panelists . The questions were
1> Introduce urself
2> y Finance (I wrote finance)
3> Y not Core engneering(Trying to strees me but I was calm)
4> askd about the budget(Thoda screwed)
5> askd about Jessica Lal murder case ( again Thoda screwed)
6> Difference between CDMA and GSM (I am Telecom eng)
7> On my hobby(Music)
8> Again were stressing on my hobby
I think it lasted for 15min. I was satisfied . The results will be declared in the first week of April.

Went to the campus and reached there at 8 in the morning . I didnt have the call letter so got a duplicate got registered and sat in the auditorium which was cmparitively small.
A fantastic presentation by the students community called IMPACT. Then a question-answer session for 10 min. The first grp was escoretd in a room for verification and the process started at 9:30. My grp was last.
I moved around the beautiful campus of NITIE. Their Lush green garden looked like the carpet of grass. Went to see the hostel rooms . Not that great but still the good part was single occupancy.
Had my food and then was called for verification at 2:30. Verification was held and then we were taken to a room and then the GD began at 6:00 in the evening.
A group of 12 very friendly and good people.
TOPIC: Stagnating Exports: Causes and Cures
2 min for thinking 16 min for discussion and again 2min for summary was the format
I started the gd. 40 seconds uninterupted. Introduced well they were focussing more on the body language. Then entered the gd with 3 new points .Participated throughout. GOOD GD.
My PI started at 8:00 in the night . Yes it was dot 12 hrs waiting. I was the last candidate for the day and the whole process. The panel was happy that I wasited so long for the interview.
The panel consisted of 4 members. 1 lady and 3 Men,. 1 was Dean Academics there.
The first question was "What you did for the 12 hrs here?"

I could answer all the questions only one hick up while justifying my fitness for candidature.

Overall it was very good now leaving everything on destiny because my CAT %ile is really low.

Hi guys gave my NIRMA gdpi and here is my experience

NAME: SANJAY KATHURIA

THE PLACE:
Well if I had to use the two words “beautiful” and “colossal” to the best of their meanings I wont have any problems in saying that NIRMA INSTITUTE OF MANAGEMENT is the first thing that comes into my mind. I have never seen such a huge and beautiful campus ever in my life. The lush green carpets of green grass cut and maintained in a proper manner. The beautiful flowers in the different parts of the campus. The beautiful waterfall in between and the long stretch of the road. It took me 15 minutes to reach to the institute building from the main gate. The moment I entered in the building a beautifully carved white coloured Saraswati matas idol was kept.

THE EXPERIENCE:
Well I went to a room where students of my batch were sitting and the pi for the previous batch was going on. We all sat there and waited . At about 3:40 a guy came with two attendance sheets and we signed . To my liking I was the first person in my group and 4 students from each group were absent. So was happy that the competition reduced. Waited for about 40 min. At around 4:30 was called in a beautiful conference hall should I say one of its kind. We were seated on an oval shape according to our numbers.

GD:
Our sops , cat score card and admit card copies were taken and were given a sheet of paper on which the topic was written , WE had to jott down our points and finally return the paper to them.
GD Topic: Low interest rate regime is beneficial for our society.
Every body gets 1 min. to introduce and then the gs is thrown open for 10 min and everybody had to express their views regarding the topic in anticlockwise direction for 30 sec. I started, introduced well in between gd was very peacful no fish market . Got into the gd 3 to 4 times and then was the last one to give the conclusion. After that all of us were sent out and told to wait for our chance . I was the first one to givre the pi. Meanwhile everybody was happy with the gd.

P3: suddenly sees my old certificates with my old name and asks me
Me: Sir had a name change in 8th standard
P1:Any specific reasons 4 this change
Me: no sir my dads decission

Me: Blah blah bout my music and theatre work and finally told tat I want to join finance and become portfolio manager.(Semmed impressed)
P2: so u have learnt music
Me: yes sir

Me : Compressed version of a wave file and some gyan.(semmed impressed)

A total 10 min affair semmed ok frm acads to hobby everything was asked. I hope it was fine seniors please give ur views.
Meanwhile I met Nikhil Naik i.e. nnikyl007 of our pg group. Fantastic person he was the one to pacify me . Thanks man for helping me for so many days.

MY IMT-Nagpur was on 28th Feb' 06



I had my gdpi today at NITIE at 9 in the morning. First we had to get our testimonials verified and then at 9 30 the gd started . Only 7 out of 15 turned up 4 gdpi and there were 2 panelists. 2 evelopes were given . One person was told to write the topics on the board. The topics were
1.How to use the preceds of privatisation
2.Government pumping in money is the only wa to enhance economy
two min. were given to select the topic we selected the first . A healthy discussion on it very good points . I was in it got a fantastic point . No fish market All were good

then was the pi i was last.
The pi was general they askd m favourite subject i told them then 3 -4 questions on it
i could answer. Then on my final year project about my family.
lot of stress on y finance after engineering
i think it was a good affair 15 min. I could impress them

Well as my title goes . It shows my deep and keen interest in music. Over the years I got the chance to learn Indian Classical Music frm some stalwarts of music.
